About
the Pet Nanny-
I was born (1960) and raised in Sonoma County, California. I come from a large wonderful animal
loving family. We grew up on a ranch outside the city limits. My best friends at age twelve was my Irish Setter, Izzy and
my cleaver Arabian, Sage.
On warm days, we would pack a lunch and enjoyed the timeless roaming from open fields
to orchard rows. We would stop and pick fruit from the trees. Pears were Sage’s favorite. I picked a lot of those.
In the afternoon we lazed out along a stream. Izzy got his biscuits, and Sage nuzzled me for the fruit she knew I hid. We
would head back before the sun went down and Mom didn’t worry. Basically, that was my childhood and my animal friends.
I grew up with animals, I could not and would not wish to image life without their sweet company. I have an easy
critter energy which makes me one of the pack. I have experience with medical and personaity care. I was probably ten years
old when I helped my Mom with my first litter. And around thirteen when Sage had her first foul.
I am an exclusive
overnight Pet Nanny because the pets don't want me to leave. And I have a hard time saying "no" to a lonely animal
who just wants some kind company. So I specialized my service so I didn't have to leave the pets I am caring for all day
to do outside visits and walks. (Exlcusive 24/7 Pet care does makes me more expensive per day, but less per hour.)
I have common sense and I use it. I am well educated with a few advanced degrees. I am bright enough to figure out what
to do if the unexpected happens. And believe in being pro-active to prevent problems. If I error, it is on the side of careful.
Most people know animals sense fear, but pets also sense friendship and love. To loved family pets, friendship and
kindness are clairvoyant. They can tell from the first time they sense. They relax and cuddle to me. They know I am a friend.
While you are on vacation, we play and communicate. They share their world. Your pet shares and show me their world in home.
While you are away we are busy becoming good friends. The next thing they realize, thier family is home again and walking
in the door.
On a more personal note:: Animals' crazy thinking and funny antics tickle my heart and brighten my
soul. I am a light hearted comedy writer and can't resist pulling material from their perpespective. Pets are funny. You
know!
I graduated from UCI and a grad degree at the Univ. of Chicago. I have completed UCLA's Professional Mentorship
Program in Screen Writing. I have the tools and the time to write and create, and I do. For me, it is a perfect combination.
I have even purchased a camcorder and a movie making program. I have made pet videos. But right now I am working on a new
story. Pets are always wonderful for bouncing off my new ideas and jokes. They always think I am funny.
Background
Clean: The first time they took my fingerprints and did background, I was 24 years old. I worked for a Federal Reserve Bank
and was bonded with the F.B.I. (my fingerprints are on file with the F.B.I.). Years later, I was background checked and cleared
again, this time by the Sonoma County Sherrif Office and licenced for the "Winner Circle". When I became a Pet
Nanny I again got bonded, this time through "Business Insures Of the Carolinas" .
I have a completely
clean record, you may check. I opened the access to my background checks. If you have any trouble, let me know. I am not
have never been in any trouble with the law. I never even received a speeding ticket. Or had to talk my way out of one!
Not many people can say claim that. But it is true, I don't know how you would check that.
My goal is simple.
To come and make a friend or two or more. To create a wonderful experience for cats and dogs in their own home. A happy and
peaceful home awaits your return. When your babies are back in your loving arms, I say goodbye until you need me again.
I
have provided loving overnight pet care all over California. Including, Los Angeles, Malibu, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village,
Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Agoura Hills, Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, San Jose, San Francisco, San Rafael, Petaluma, Santa
Rosa, Sonoma, Healdsburg, Napa. Now I am relocating to sunny San Diego. And would love to meet some for pet buddies
